Every chapter of this story ends the same way: with Sensei San Ndlovu teaching what he had learned to the people coming after him.

I.

The lecture hall

From 2005 to 2010 he taught the Stunts and Movement course at AFDA, City Varsity and the University of Cape Town, preparing students for careers in film and performance.

II.

The Metro Police

In 2009 he was one of 16 trainers on the Cape Town Metro Police fitness pilot, leading sessions at the Civic Centre that combined martial arts, fitness, strength training and running drills. The Weekend Argus covered it under the headline “Lean, mean policing machine”.

III.

The stage, again

In July 2008 he was keynote speaker at the Umsobomvu Youth Fund’s 5th Entrepreneurship Development Conference. He also ran corporate team building and obstacle courses on the Klipdrift Premium Course, which introduced him as founder of “the first formal stunt training school on the African continent”, and appeared at the SABC Career Fair in 2005.
